About Me.

My name is Nimrod. I am a GeoAnalytics expert based out of Berlin.

I'm passionate about the integration between GIS and modern technologies, predominantly remote sensing, data analysis and remote sensing. My master thesis (M.Sc. Geoinformatics, Universität Münster) was conducted in collaboration with E.ON Off-Grid Solutions and titled Bridging GIS and high-resolution image analysis for mini-grid planning in rural Africa: A case study from North Tanzania. The thesis studied the complex integration of GIS and remote sensing using free open source software (FOSS). I am a fan and an active member of the FOSS GIS community, particularly QGIS (desktop) and Leaflet (web) .

My most recent projects have been:

• 3D SpaceTimeCube, A tool that allows to visualize a 3D space time cube from a single GPX file. Published on the official QGIS Plugins repository
• DEM Raster to 3D Plot, A tool plots a given digital elevation model (DEM) raster image with elevation values on an X,Y,Z 3D Matplotlib plot.
• DRentMap, A Web application that maps the rent in Münster, Germany using HTML Scraping and Leaflet.

I'm fluent in Python, R, VBA, Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and have strong experience with Linux, SQL, Flask, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
